I operate in the state of Florida, and I have sold numerous businesses that I owned. I often come across Physician Practices that need assistance locating a buyer. My service can quickly locate interested parties and through the same process I utilize in recruitment, I can connect them for mutual conversations. I have never tried to connect buyer and seller using my marketing service but am wondering since I charge a flat fee that is contingent on success, would I need a brokerage license? I know a lot of recruiters who connect practice owners now without any brokerage license and say they are charging fee for a service and do not charge based on percentages. Thoughts?
