I am looking at a business. It is ethnically owned, and I am not a qualifying member of any ethnic group. I have read some articles, cautioning on such purchases without completely understanding the revenue stream of the ethnically-owned business. There are so many government programs that funnel revenue to ethnically-owned business, and if I purchase I lose that status.
What are your thoughts, and how do I investigate the impact? I don't want to go through due diligence to gain knowledge and walk away. Is there a better way to find out the potential impact?
