I would like to get input from as many people as possible please don't hesitate to reply.

I am curious about what websites you use to promote your business and sell your products. So like eBay, your homepage, and other sites. Just shoot out the names and hopefully we can complie a list.

Thanks!
Chris

Disclosure: I am starting Central.ly, a website that helps small businesses organize their presence on the web. We all have many pages, Yelp, Facebook, etc. We want to help you bring that all in one place to improve your sales. Check it out and reserve your business name!

Nowadays social media sites are used on a very large scale for promotion of any business as it is an easier and free way of promotion.

I agree with the free means of promoting your business listed above. However, if you really want to bring your company to another level... #1. Hire someone like me. ;) #2. Confidence is very sexy, dont you think? #3. Back to point 2, develop a brand and be consistant across all of your marketing channels. #4. Develop a marketing mix and track what drives traffic, what generates response, what works, what does not, and most importantly - find out WHY something succeeds or fails. A great example is eBay... I did some work for a company that tried to sell off some inventory on eBay by randomly grabbing items and posting them spurratically then claiming eBay was not the venue to move their products. I offered to disprove them for a 70% rake of the GP I generate from an agreed upon profit margin solely via selling on eBay. I made them over $10k in profit in less than a months time. How? Why? #1. They didnt take into account that people normally bid when time is winding down and if that occurs at 4am what traffic are they getting? Also, automated reposting and seo strategies. Tie in a new website with consistant branding to drive traffic. Get a marketing mix and test the waters. Try different techniques and think like a buyer!
