I spent too many years in Corporate America trying to climb their ladder, all the while looking as my 3 children looked up at me getting further and further away from them. When I wasn't feeling the guilt of spending so much time on my career, I was feeling the guilt from my boss for not having my "head in the game" when my kids were sick, hurt or engaged in an activity that I was not attending. I finally put the brakes on that situation and decided to do something different. I went into business for myself, working right out of my home office, and I reclaimed my life. My relationships with my husband and children improved and I felt more successful because I was truly in control. Goodbye guilt!! I always like to mentor other moms who are facing the same situation I once faced. It IS possible to run a successful business, be a completely fulfilled wife and mother, and know that you're helping the community at large. It's possible because I do it every day...and you can too. There is no match for autonomy, time freedom and secure, stable income!
