We've have been looking for the proper venue to sell this domain name to help with start up capital for another business. The value of the domain to us is of course priceless, however, as everyone says, the domain is only worth what a person will pay for it.
Somewhere in this world ;) someone is going to be interested enough in LEDstore.com to pay $20,000 for it.
Maybe not today, or tomorrow... but the fact is, green energy is only growing, and led domain names, even now, are in high demand... not so easy to find an LED name so clear and to the point.... not so easy to find an led name at all!
LEDstore pretty much sums it up, very generic, to its industry of course- anything LED would work for it.

GE purchased the LED.com domain as a redirect to their website in the neighborhood of $800,000...
Hopefully, someone will see this value in our domain... only, we'll take a lot less then that.

We have tried working through Sedo... a company that has proven to us to be a complete joke.
Their great domain auctions seem to be set up to cater only the 3-4 letter domain names, and all other domains in there, they are auctioning off for friends, colleagues or themselves- (Actually, this is only in theory at this point as there is no rhyme or reason to some of the domains they accept in their auctons.)
I called them once to ask why ihomebanking.com was listed in their great domain auctions without even an offer, but they wouldn't accept our LEDstore.com, the broker I spoke with said, he had no idea who dropped that ball, or why that name or several others I listed off for him were in there... they wouldn't have passed their quality assessment, and he would be talking to others about it... I thought... hmmm... I'll purchase ibanklending.com and see if they take that... Nope.. rejected, personally, I think it is something they have against me...lol.. but I digress...

This has given me a bit of a sour taste in my mouth... that service, that everyone totes as being the end all in domaining, and you can't even count on them being legit, not to mention all of the horror stories from people who have lost money with sedo having their domains parked through them, etc.

I am looking for some thoughts, some tips, advice from anyone who might be saavy in this market.
What would you do, in terms of marketing to sell a domain, other than pay tons of money up front to a service.
I don't mind someone helping me making a cut/profit/percentage... I do not want to be putting out a lot of money up front if I don't have to, to sell it.

I've added my domains I'm selling to my signature in different forums that allow that, I've posted it to a few domain boards... I'd love to know what others do.

Thanks so much for your time!
