What should be my first steps to get venture capital to buy a business? What is a good book or website to assist me in this. I assume I need to put together some sort of proposal. I do not have any capital myself but think this Tavern would be a very good investment. It closed due to back taxes. Tell me how to get started. Please Thanks!!

If you can get it for back taxes, it may be possible to get sufficient funding simply by opening up a credit card. One of the methods that I would look into for funding of this sort would be Seed Capital. They provide a service that helps you open lines of unsecured credit.

You must clear all liens, taxes etc. You will need a Business Plan to re-open the Tavern so that the financier and landlord can see your directions and cash flows

We have been in business for 53 years. Buying  a closed business is very difficult and very dangerous.

If you have lttle in the way of funds, you should consider buying an existing business. An existing business has cash flow to pay your loans.

We are business owners not brokers.

As you have very limited funds in hand, so it is must to analyze various aspects of the business. This business analytical report will help you to prioritize the issues to be tackled. There are many companies like ‘fintel’ that provide analytical tools and reports about various aspects of business.

hi,

The main effects of marketing strategy is long term customer value. The biggest cost is getting a customer so when you get one, you want to keep them to keep your overheads down and it's more profitable to sell to an existing customer.
