Kelly Kar Wash has been part of the Friendswood community for over 40 years. We are located on the very busy FM 2351 (Clear Lake City Blvd) across from Frankie Carter Randolph park in Friendswood. We added the Do it Yourself Dog Bath 1 year ago and it is quickly becoming a favorite with our customers. (Pictures available on Facebook under Kelly Kar Wash). If I were keeping the car wash, my future plans were to add either a touchless automatic car wash to one of the bays and/or a self serve ice machine (Polar Ice or Arctic Ice) at the front of the property.

The Car wash has 6 self serve bays (1 is currently being used for the Dog Bath), 6 vacuums, 2 fragrance machines, and car wash related vending machines in addition to the 1 year old DIY Evolution Dog Bath. Everything stays in good working order.

We purchased the property in Sept 2013. Unfortunately it had gotten a little tired and run down. We immediately restored all equipment to excellent working order and replaced many/most lines and hoses. Additionally we purchased the Dog Bath new ($23,000 including installation) and installed a new spot free system ($7,000).

They say it takes 3 years to turn a business around. The profits for 2015 were nearly 60% higher than 2014. 2016 will be that magical 3rd year and I am anxious to see the numbers. In addition to the ''hard dollars,'' the income the business brings in, having the car wash also requires me to have a home office and drive from my home office to the business on a daily basis...........consult your tax professional for information in this area.

Kelly Kar Wash has been very rewarding to me and I'm sure it will be for its new owner. Unfortunately I plan to relocate to East Texas this summer and must pass her on.

The previous owner had a professional appraisal prepared October 26, 2008 which stated the value as $350,000 (I have a copy for your perusal). We are currently asking $250,000.
