Buying local is here to stay, country wide and in many places, world wide. Local Seasons specializes in this movement, making the eating public aware of what is around them, problems in ''big ag'', supporting local farmers and other small producers, etc.
At this time, I do host a radio show monthly. I am also working on a series of books on local foods, (the idea has been sent to a publisher for review, at their request), am working on developing an ezine for Local Seasons and have a retail concept with franchise ability, ready for a serious developer to take on in earnest.
The entire project is now for sale. I will continue on with the radio show for the buyer for 10 years (before a new contract would need to be negotiated with buyer). I will also continue to work on other phases for up to 4 years, in order to get those up and running (magazine, books and retail) help hire and train people for the buyer.
This is a unique project, as few have begun work to cover buying locally in a blanket way as I am. The show is being well accepted and people are enthusiastically participating with being included in the books. The retail facilities will be one of a kind and franchisable. and all will tie in together to allow recognizable branding should this be the buyer's goal.
I am looking for some individual or group to take over immediately. Cost is $3.75mil with $1.75mil down with the rest over 25 years (interest is included in payment plan), with appropriate collateral necessary. There is no real estate involved.
A phone number will be supplied if there is mutual interest between buyer and seller. Please note that I will be ''fussy'' about who takes over including where they stand on support of local farms, local foods and small business.
