The first layer is a primer, the mid coat is an insulating agent with millions of ceramic micro-spheres. The mid coat is also a waterproofing agent. The mid coat is applied 8-10 mils thick. Then we have the top coat which is also applied 8-10 mils thick. This coat can be tinted to any color. This three coat process ends up being 12-15 mils thick.
