Oakiwear, Inc outdoor apparel items for children are manufactured overseas, and imported to Washington State, (Vancouver) where our distribution warehouse is located. Current items include high-end rain gear (jackets, rain suits, rain boots, hats) as well as fishing waders, gloves, snowsuits, fishing nets, vests, fleece jackets, etc.) As strong advocates for getting children outdoors, we sponsor and sell to many outdoor oriented school (such as CedarSong in Seattle, one of the largest such schools in the country) as well as online retail (making up 70% if sales) and wholesale to independent retailers.
Started in 2007, as Outdoor Adventure Kid, LLC, Oakiwear incorporated (C-Corp) in July of 2013. Sales increases have ranged from 70%-99% growth each year. 2013 increased from $199,000 to $394,000. As the Oakiwear brand is quickly gaining recognition for exceptional quality, design and comfort, the sales increase are accomplished with an advertising budget of less than $1000/year, and no trade shows. The growth is simply organic, word of mouth advertising, as well as positive reviews on Amazon, our website, and flawless positive and prolific feedback on our Facebook.
Oakiwear, Inc is not dependent on a particular area for it's success. We sell retail and wholesale all over the U.S. and Canada, and have shipped to over 25 other countries. The business can be moved anywhere, although the Pacific coastal states provide the cheapest importing costs, being closest to China, where all of our good are currently manufactured. We have established strong relationships with our manufacturers, and all products meet and exceed requirements for children's apparel.
