In 1965 the company founder returned home from Puerto Rico just when a major hurricane had ravaged South Florida. He saw devastation and realized something needed to be done to reduce the death and destruction resulting from these storms. After experimentation and research he developed a product which would reduce the devastation caused by storms and worked with the insurance companies, legislatures and others to demonstrate the benefits which could be realized from the use of this product. Soon both the insurances companies and various state legislative bodies began requiring the use of this product, thus the industry was born.
The company is located in a very desirable location in the Southeast which provides quality of life for the owners and employees and easy access to excellent transportation for delivery of the company products.
